Josh McCown has been Sam Darnolds copy for the Jets last year and hes pitched for 17,707 yards and 98 touchdowns with 82 interceptions in 99 career games (76 starts) with the Cardinals, Lions, Raiders, Panthers, Bears, Buccaneers, Browns and Jets.
The 40-year-old produced three starts for the Jets last season and completed 60 of 110 (54.5 completion percent ) for 539 passing yards and one touchdown with four interceptions.
McCown had among his finest seasons in 2017 if he threw for 2,926 yards and 18 touchdowns but the season the team decided to draft Darnold and he became his first backup.
