Hit The Bid back in action at Newbury

After a luckless run in the Curragh Reach The Bid is Place to make a reappearance in the Dubai International Airport World Trophy at Newbury.

Trainer Darren Bunyan has set a line through his star’s performance in the Group One Flying Five Stakes on Sunday, when he was beaten at less than four lengths – and reports the five-year-old ready to move again just six days later.
The Bid has been contributed an entrance in the Group Three dash of Saturday by the County Kildare handler and has verified the goal is to operate.
“He emerged from the race perfect,” said Bunyan.
“It was just one one of those days to draw a line through. We have had worse times than that, although nothing worked out about the afternoon.
“He was not beaten too far to get a horse that had nothing go his way about the day.”
Strike The Bid has shown that he can operate when kept busy.
“There’s no issue with all the horse running quickly,” additional Bunyan.
“He came back from the Abbaye last year and won the Group Three Mercury Stakes (in Dundalk) not long afterwards.
“We’re still making strategies, and it looks like he’ll go to Newbury this Saturday now.
“The ground is in his favour . The current weather forecast is good for your week, and he is 100 per cent after the race.
“If all goes well on Saturday we will stick him at the Abbaye.”
Ger Lyons’s Blue Uluru is still a Irish that is potential – while others in an 11-strong entry comprise Beverley Bullet scorer Judicial, current York Listed victor Dakota Gold and Equilateral, who shot the most Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster last week.
