Phil Taylor admits he has overlooked rival against Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen and has succeeded at making a comeback.
Taylor won 214 pro tournaments, including a record 85 main titles and a list 16 World Championships. He retired from the game after his 2018 World Championship final defeat to Rob Cross.
‘The Power’ is a firm believer in advancements in darts, along with the 59-year-old feels he would not have any issue re-adjusting when a return was left by him now.

He has launched his brand new Generation 6 darts through Target where the arrows have a brand new item of technology known as Swiss Point which enables players to switch the points onto their darts at a matter of seconds, which is made Taylor consider creating a sensational return to the oche.
“I have loved my retirement but all these new thoughts are coming out, it’s like having a brand-new car and also being a racing car driver,” Taylor told Sky Sports.
“I would like to get another celebration, especially at Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson. I do miss that tiny bit of camaraderie. They say nobody is having any fun, it is very quiet and the clinic room is lifeless. The kids are currently standing there with iPods in their ears.
“Me Aidy (Lewis) was used to have a right laugh.”
Taylor claims the sport is currently lacking characters on account of the amount of money involved with contests with players getting more professional than ever before.
“The sport has gone very serious with all the cash involved and that I can understand them being really serious. It can be a career in case you don’t work. If some of these pros do not do something to reinvent themselvesthey’re likely to go down the positions as fast as anything.”
He admits not seeing any darts however the November he’d tune-in to watch Leighton Bennett, who has accepted the game by storm and will be in the running for a spot at the Grand Slam of Darts.
“Someone just asked me a question about Bennett and if he have a wildcard into Wolverhampton? My answer was that I actually don’t watch the darts but if Bennett understands a wildcard since he’s exciting I will watch it. He is a nightmare to perform,” he said.
But Bennett acquired his revenge, beating the in the SAP Darts Slam at Frankfurt back taylor conquered the youngster in March.
“I’ve played with him a few times and he’s a complete nightmare, because he’s a young lad and he is good,” Taylor added. “He’s got no fear from him whatsoever. I really like that in him”
