NASCAR at Pocono odds, key stats, bets to consider: Three drivers to buy low

After the longest race of the NASCAR season, the Cup Series heads to one of their most unique tracks on the circuit to the Pocono 400.
There’s not any other track in NASCAR like Pocono Raceway. The 2.5-mile asphalt course in Pennsylvania has three ends together with differing degrees of banks and long straightaways. Dubbed the Tricky Triangle, the monitor’s length and comparatively flat layout is most similar to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
When handicapping Sunday’s race (1 p.m. CT, FS1), bear in mind big horsepower teams do well in Pocono. Drivers who’ve been successful at Michigan and Fontana’s 2-mile track also often have success at Pocono.
MORE: NASCAR breakdown at one-third markers of season It might have taken Kyle Busch a little time to make that first success at Pocono, but he’s clearly on course today. Busch is the gambling popular at 3/1 odds at the Westgate SuperBook, and his Pocono wins have come in the three latest races at the track. He has led 262 laps in the last seven starts there and enters Sunday’s event with top-10 finishes in 12 of the year’s 13 races.
Pocono rules bundle In accordance with NASACR, Pocono’s race will comprise the 2019 rules package with a tapered-spacer engine that will create about 550 horsepower. The cars will probably have aero ducts, an alteration that NASCAR made after seeing the non-duct bundle at Atlanta earlier this year.
The past six 550-horsepower races occurred at the five 1.5-mile paths of Atlanta, Las Vegas, Texas, Kansas and Charlotte, in addition to Fontana’s 2-mile oval.
Active Pocono winners
Denny Hamlin (four), Kurt Busch (three), Jimmie Johnson (three), Kyle Busch (2 ), Martin Truex Jr. (two), Ryan Blaney (one), Chris Buescher (one), Brad Keselowski (one), Joey Logano (one), and Ryan Newman (one).
