The 40-year-old produced three starts for the Jets last year and completed 60 of 110 (54.5 completion percent ) to get 539 passing yards and a touchdown with four interceptions.
McCown had one of his best seasons in 2017 if he threw for 2,926 yards and 18 touchdowns with nine interceptions in 13 games for the Jets but the season, the group decided to draft Darnold and he also became his first backup.
