Bristol De Mai set for Wetherby

Nigel Twiston-Davies Intends to Provide Bristol De Mai an outing from the Charlie Hall Before the Betfair Chase at Haydock.

The Naunton handler hopes history could repeat itself in the Grade Two trophy in West Yorkshire, which the eight-year-old maintained in 2017 en route to his first victory in the Grade One attribute at the Merseyside track.
After finishing third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup on his start this past year, the Simon Munir- along with Isaac Souede-owned gelding ended the campaign at Aintree with a below-par effort in the Betway Bowl the next month.
Twiston-Davies said:Bristol De Mai is also in good form. Hell go for the Charlie Hall, and then the Betfair Chase. Hes made the race his own for the last two seasons.
Hes been well over the summer and is showing as much enthusiasm as ever. Everything is all good .
Last years Betfair Hurdle enthusiast Al Dancer could make his first start over fences at a novice chase in Newton Abbott on Sunday.
Having promised victory the Dai Walters-owned six-year-old saw his unbeaten streak ended when completing down the field in the Supreme Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Twiston-Davies said:Hes entered Newton Abbot in an protracted two-mile newcomer chase and the strategy is to go there.
We decided against the owners that he would go chasing this year instead of stay over hurdles. He seems fine and hopefully he can do well over fences.
A visit to Chepstow on Saturday is last month under consideration for Wholestone, who made his debut over fences a one.
Twiston-Davies stated:Hopefully Wholestone will operate at Chepstow, but we must find out who is running and why. I was very pleased with the way he jumped at Perth, although he only had one equal to conquer.
Stablemate Ballyandy is being lined up to come back in the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle.
Twiston-Davies said:Hopefully hell visit Chepstow on Saturday and a great deal of queries will be answered then. It was really excellent run in Coral Cup (third) in his final start of the season.
He will move three miles later in the season, that is the idea anyhow.
